A417 from Gloucester to Swindon to improve the road
Work is well underway on one of the biggest highways projects in the region.
More than one million cubic metres of rock is being excavated near the Air Balloon Roundabout in Gloucestershire to make way for the A417 "Missing Link".
It is hoped the £460m project will improve traffic to Swindon and Cirencester from Gloucester, with eight lanes of traffic forming the finished project.
The Missing Link is due to open in 2027, with diggers currently working on excavating enough rock to fill 400 Olympic swimming pools.
