Former Farnborough air factory houses BAE archive

Hangars that were once part of the Royal Aircraft Factory in Hampshire now house the BAE Systems Heritage Archive.

The collection of 16 million artefacts, including documents and technical drawings, chronicles the history of aircraft manufacturers such as Avro and De Havilland which went on to become part of BAE.

It has been a century since the hangars were built. Now there are plans to make much of their contents available online.
