Arctic Convoys veteran campaigner Eddie Grenfell congratulated
The man who led a 15-year campaign for veterans of World War II's Arctic Convoys to get recognition for their work said it was "absolutely wonderful" that they will now be awarded medals.
David Cameron announced the plans on Wednesday.
Eddie Grenfell, 92, from Portsmouth, who served on four convoys to Russia, added: "I'm sad that it's taken so long and that so many of my chums are no longer here."
