Bust unveiled of Mary Rose diver Alexander McKee

The Mary Rose - Henry VIII's warship - is one of the nation's most famous and precious pieces of history - now conserved in a purpose built museum in Portsmouth.

While most people have heard of the ill-fated Tudor warship, some feel the amateur diver, Alexander McKee, who led the search for the wreck, has not had the recognition he deserves.

A campaign to celebrate his contribution has reached its goal with the unveiling of a bust at the Mary Rose museum.
