Sunken D-Day landing craft raised
A sunken World War Two landing craft, believed to be the last of its kind in the UK, has been raised from a harbour in Birkenhead.
The vessel will be taken to Portsmouth Naval Base.
Nick Hewitt, of the National Museum of the Royal Navy, said: "It's probably the most exciting thing I've done in my career to date, its a real privilege."
After restoration, the craft is expected to go on display at the D-Day Museum in Southsea.
