Footage shows RIB boat ahead of Osborne Bay crash death
Police have released video footage of a high-powered boat being driven ahead of a crash with a luxury cruiser off the Isle of Wight in which a 36-year-old man was killed.
Ryan McKinlay, from Gosport, died following the crash off Osborne Bay on 19 June 2015.
Aaron Brown and his hired skipper, Paul Carey, took turns to drive the 62ft-long (19m) cabin cruiser's Williams Turbojet 325 rigid inflatable boat (RIB) during a day out.
Video footage shown to the jury during the trial shows the RIB boat being skippered by Paul Carey.
Aaron Brown, chief operating officer of telecoms firm OneCom, is charged with manslaughter by gross negligence, which he denies.
Paul Carey, 52, of Chatsworth Road, Southampton, denies a charge of driving too fast in contravention of merchant shipping regulations.
The trial continues.
