Plans for new Hereford science university unveiled

Plans for a new science and engineering university in Hereford have been unveiled.

Herefordshire Council has backed the project, which supporters say could generate more than £75m a year for the local economy.

No funding has yet been secured for the plans, which would see university lectures take place in buildings located around the city centre.

Project leaders hope the university will begin specialist postgraduate courses in autumn 2015 and open to undergraduates two years later.
