Cricket fan walks in memory of Basil D'Oliveira

A blind cricket fan has embarked on a four-day charity walk - from Worcester to south Wales - in memory of cricket legend Basil D'Oliveira.

Mark Ashbourne, from Stourbridge, rarely misses a Worcestershire game. He has set off from Worcester for Cardiff - in time for his team's match against Glamorgan at the weekend.

He hopes to raise funds for a foundation set up to honour D'Oliveira, who died in 2011.

Dan Pallett spoke to Mr Ashbourne and Ryan D'Oliveira, Basil's grandson.
