Areley Kings WW1 drama performed

The drama of life in a Worcestershire village during World War One has been captured in a play written by one of its residents.

The production of Lest We Forget will be performed by people from Areley Kings, near Stourport-on-Severn, in the village over the next two days, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

Seventy eight men from the village went to fight, but 14 did not return.

The writer, Mary Arden Davis, has used accounts recorded in parish magazines at the time for inspiration.
