Hereford United fans plan new club
Hereford United fans plan to form a new club after it was wound up at the High Court in London for failing to pay off its debts.
The petition was brought by HM Revenue and Customs, which is believed to be owed £116,000.
Nine previous hearings were adjourned, but on Friday a judge dismissed assurances from barristers representing owner Andy Lonsdale that funds were available.
The Hereford United Supporters Trust described it as a "bitter-sweet moment".
It said while the decision marked the end for the existing club, it also offered an "exciting" opportunity.
