Contaminated blood victim 'anger' at living with hepatitis

A haemophiliac who was given infected blood products has spoken of her lifelong battle against a disease which could kill her.

Colette Wintle, of Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire was infected with Hepatitis B and C during surgery when she was a teenager. She has since developed cirrhosis of the liver.

In 2007 she gave evidence at the Archer Inquiry looking at how 5,000 people were exposed to contaminated blood in the 1970s and 1980s.

Campaign groups angered at Government plans to reform payouts to the victims, have secured a debate in the House of Commons on the issue.
