Jack the tortoise has a toy leg after accident with garden strimmer

Vets have attached a toy wheel to a tortoise after its leg was injured by a garden strimmer.

Jack lives in Ledbury, Herefordshire, and a local vet came up with the idea.

"The only other options would have been to put Jack to sleep or to try to splint the leg," said Ellie Robbins, from Leadon Vale Veterinary Centre.
