Anger over Cleethorpes unisex changing rooms

Plans to create a unisex "changing village" as part of a leisure centre's £635,000 makeover will be reconsidered due to hundreds of objections.

Senior councillors will hold a special meeting next week to consider a 300-signature petition against the proposal for Cleethorpes Leisure Centre.

North East Lincolnshire Council said it would create a "family friendly layout", but Janet Lorand, who started the petition, said it was an "awful" idea.

"I'd never even dreamt that they could do unisex toilets especially, it never entered my head," she said.
