Hull-born Spitfire ace's medals sold for £120,000

A Hull-born Spitfire pilot's World War Two medals have sold for £120,000 at auction.

Air Commodore Ronald 'Ras' Berry flew more than 400 combat missions with 603 squadron, including fighting in the Battle of Britain in 1940.

Mr Berry is credited with being involved with the shooting down of 24 Nazi aircraft. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Distinguished Service Order and a CBE.
