Humberside Airport passenger pilot meets rescue crew

A man who took over the controls of a plane over North Lincolnshire despite having no flying experience has met the crew that helped guide him to the ground.

John Wildey, 78, took over the controls of a light aircraft when the pilot collapsed and died last October. He landed safely at Humberside Airport.

Mr Widley met the crew of the RAF rescue helicopter based at Leconfield, East Yorkshire, who flew alongside him as he made the landing.
