Kent snow and ice causes road and rail disruption

Kent Police has initiated Operation Stack on the M20 by closing part of the carriageway in response to the snowy weather.

Part of the motorway will now be used as a lorry park for vehicles heading to the Channel Tunnel and Port of Dover.

Snow has affected much of the county forcing the closure of dozens of schools and several roads.
