Last Gurkha contingent returns home to Folkestone barracks
The last contingent of Royal Gurkha Rifles (1RGR) has returned home from Afghanistan.
About 80 members of of A Company 1st Battalion were met by family, friends and colleagues at their base at Sir John Moore Barracks in Folkestone, Kent on Monday.
Lt Edward Drummond-Baxter, 29, and L/Cpl Siddhanta Kunwar, 28, were killed during the six-month tour.
A Company is the last to return of 1RGR's 470-strong contingent, which deployed to Afghanistan as part of 4 Mechanised Brigade, known as "The Black Rats".
