Plans to reopen Ramsgate World War Two tunnels

Plans are in place to reopen tunnels which provided shelter to 26,000 people during the Blitz.

Lives were saved in Ramsgate during World War Two because people were able to shelter in the tunnel network.

It is hoped the tunnels will reopen to the public this summer.

Natalie Graham spoke to Phil Spain, from the Ramsgate Tunnels team and former teacher Marjorie Woodward.

Inside Out South East is broadcast on Monday, 13 January at 19:30 GMT on BBC One and nationwide for seven days thereafter on the iPlayer.
