Thanet warning over sewage in sea water
People are being warned not to go into the sea in Thanet because of sewage in the water.
Southern Water said it was forced to carry out an emergency discharge after a month's worth of rain fell overnight.
The latest incident comes a day after Thanet gained prestigious Blue Flags for all seven of its beaches.
Earlier this year, a judge said the water company had a "persistent record of criminality" for sewage pumping breaches in the area.
BBC South East Today's Jon Hunt spoke to local residents and Mike Humber, technical manager at Thanet District Council.
