Folkestone seafront redevelopment under way

Multi-million pound plans to redevelop Folkestone seafront in Kent are under way, with work on the harbour arm due to be completed by early summer.

Campaigners have said they fear historic elements of the old harbour railway station could be lost because of the redevelopment.

The developers maintain their plans will celebrate the heritage of the site.

BBC South East Today's Sara Smith spoke to Peter Bettley, of the Folkestone Harbour Company, and Richard Moffatt, of the Remembrance Line Association.
