Gurkha memorial statue for Folkestone nears completion
A statue which will stand in Folkestone to commemorate service and sacrifice given by Gurkha soldiers in the British Army over the last 200 years is nearing completion.
More than £60,000 was raised by the community of Folkestone to pay for the statue by sculptor Rebecca Hawkins.
The site where the soldier will stand in the town's Garden Of Remembrance has been blessed in a multi-faith ceremony.
