Wayne Hemingway in Margate Dreamland plea

Designer Wayne Hemingway has called on Margate to help make its Dreamland theme park a success.

Mr Hemingway, who was the park's artistic director, said its first year of operating as a heritage attraction had been successful in stopping redevelopment of the site.

Dreamland, which celebrates its first birthday on Sunday, is looking for a new operator after going into administration last month.

It is changing its pricing structure in an effort to attract more visitors.
