On-track A-level student Catie Munnings rejects university

A teenager has turned her back on university to follow her dream of becoming a world rally champion.

Catie Munnings, 18, from Headcorn, who has just got her A-level results achieved an A* in photography, and A in English and a B in Biology, but did not consider going on to university.

"I didn't even log in to UCAS to sign up and have a look at the universities," she said.

"As soon as I sat in a rally car last year I thought this is what I want to do and every minute since then it has been working towards that."

She was the only female driver to finish the Ypres Rally in June and won the European Rally Championship Ladies Cup.
