Uniform row parent confronts Hartsdown Academy head teacher

A parent of a pupil at Hartsdown Academy has confronted head teacher Matthew Tate about his child's shoes, as students who flout uniform rules are sent home for a second day.

The shoes are not "plain black leather shoes - they're also suede", Mr Tate said.

The girl's father said it would be the last day his daughter would attend the school.
