Meopham School sees 'need' for a new single-sex grammar

A Kent academy has said it has identified a need in its area for a mixed grammar school.

Meopham School is believed to be the first to outline plans to become a grammar school after Theresa May outlined education changes earlier this month.

Principal of Swale Academies Trust Jon Whitcombe has set out plans to consult parents on converting to a mixed-sex grammar by 2018.
