Call to recognise Morecambe Bay's Cedric Robinson, the Queen's Guide to the Sands
He's known as the Queen's Guide to the Sands and for more than 50 years he has been guiding thousands of walkers over what can be a treacherous path across Morecambe Bay.
Eighty-year-old Cedric Robinson, who has always lived in Morecambe Bay, has dedicated his life to running the famous cross-bay walks which can involve up to 600 people at a time.
Tim Farron, Liberal Democratic MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, wants his long service and dedication to be recognised.
He has tabled an Early Day Motion in Parliament to congratulate Mr Robinson's work.
Mr Farron said: "He's more than a local hero, he is national one and it is important we mark heroes like Cedric."
