Why Tories are backing satirical Margaret Thatcher song
Baroness Margaret Thatcher was just in power when a punk band from Lancashire wrote a satirical song about her in 1979.
Thanks to an online campaign backed by Tory supporters - in response to attempts to get Ding Dong: The Witch is Dead to number one - I'm in Love with Margaret Thatcher has been propelled into Radio 1's Official Top 40.
The irony is not lost on five-piece band the Notsensibles from Burnley who wrote the song mocking the UK's first female prime minister.
