Le Tour in Yorkshire seen from the air

Huge crowds turned out across Yorkshire to watch the opening two stages of the Tour de France and their numbers were all the more impressive from the air.

Millions of people lined the route and even in the least-accessible areas cycling fans found a way to view the racing.
