Halifax Piece Hall: First look at £19m refurbishment work

The refurbishment of a Grade I-listed cloth trading hall is nearing completion after a £19m restoration project.

Work on Halifax's Piece Hall started in 2014, with the courtyard redesigned and new shops and offices created.

The building, which was built in 1779 as a trading centre for handloom weavers, is due to reopen on 1 August.
