Organ donor honoured by hospital after helping eight people

The wife of an organ donor who helped eight recipients says it's "overwhelming" that a Leeds hospital has honoured her husband.

Mark Piotr died suddenly in 2017 and his organs helped eight people, including Sheffield artist Pete McKee.

A wall mount has now been unveiled at St James's Hospital in his memory.

Karen Piotr, Mark's wife, said: "It's just so overwhelming to see it in person and to see all the people that turned out to come and honour Mark just because of his selfless act to be a donor."
