Afghan interpreter welcomes right to live in UK move

An Afghan interpreter who was injured by a Taliban bomb while working for British forces has welcomed news that up to 600 of his counterparts are to be given the right to live in the UK.

Mohammed - whom the BBC has agreed not to name fully to protect his family in Afghanistan - said: "The government is now recognising and rewarding the interpreters for their sacrifices and services.
