University of Leicester scientists find a way to prevent the spread of superbugs

Scientists at the University of Leicester believe they have found a way for hospitals to prevent the spread of highly infectious superbugs such as Clostridium difficile (C. diff).

Dr Martha Clokie said they had been looking at ways of isolating the virus that targets the C. diff bacteria and using it as an alternative to antibiotics.
