Leicester: Scott Mills turns on city's Christmas lights
BBC Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills has turned on the Christmas lights in Leicester.
Thousands of people headed into the city centre on Wednesday night to watch the lights switch-on in Town Hall Square.
About 20 streets have been decorated, along with a 50ft (15.24m) Christmas tree cut from Kielder Forest in Northumberland.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leicester, Mills said: "I wasn't expecting this crowd. Leicester loves Christmas.
"I hear there were 25,000 people here. It just, kind of, took me a bit by surprise."
