Princess Anne visits Boston's flood-damaged St Botolph's Church
The Princess Royal has visited a Lincolnshire church to see how it is recovering from flood damage following last week's tidal surge.
Princess Anne is patron of the restoration appeal at St Botolph's Church, known as the Boston Stump, and spoke to teams working to dry out the stonework and timber.
The church's restoration manager Peter Robinson said she had told them she had been "surprised" and "shocked" by the situation.
Mark Robinson from the Environment Agency said the agency was working hard to push through plans for a long-term tidal barrier to protect the town from future problems.
