Flood warning for Lincolnshire caravan park owners

Caravan Park owners in Lincolnshire have been warned to prepare for future flooding and ensure their evacuation plans are in place.

The December tidal surge had a devastating impact on homes, businesses and thousands of caravan and static home owners along the East Coast.

In Lincolnshire, there are thought to be more than 20,000 static caravans close to the sea and many in flood risk areas.

Warning systems and evacuation measures have improved since the 1953 floods when 42 people died in the county.
