Scotland offers lessons for clampdown on London squats

It is thought that roughly half of the UK's 20,000 squatters are based in London, but at the moment squatting in itself in England is not illegal.

The government wants to make it tougher by making living in a squat a criminal offence. In Scotland squatting has been a crime for 150 years.
