Civil servants leave offices near Buckingham Palace

Hundreds of civil servants who have enjoyed amazing views of the Queen's back garden are to be moved out of their offices which are next door to Buckingham Palace.

The cost to taxpayers for renting the property for the Department for International Development over the past 15 years has run to tens of millions of pounds, despite the work of the staff focussing on world poverty.

BBC London's Robin Punt asked Cabinet Office minister Chloe Smith why the move had not happened earlier.
