Film-maker uses crowdsourcing to offer roles for cash

A film director is planning to ask the public for money in return for a role as cast or crew in his forthcoming science fiction film.

Simon Cox is using crowdfunding, or raising money via the internet, to raise £60,000 for his film Kaleidoscope Man, shot mainly in London.

Brenda Emmanus met Mr Cox, and film-makers Chris Jones and Tom Bacon.
