Rents rise on London's cheaper properties
The cost of renting at the lower end of London's housing market is on the up.
Figures released by London councils shows that the cost of the cheapest properties has risen by £80 in the past 18 months - a 10% rise. Some boroughs like Barnet have seen an increase of £245 over the same period - a 43%.
Housing charities argue the only way to solve the capital's housing crisis is to build more affordable homes.
