Reforms delaying improvements, says London NHS chief
Government reforms have delayed improvements in healthcare in the capital, according to the outgoing chief executive of NHS London.
The government says its reforms will give doctors the freedom they need to make decisions about the care they provide, but Dame Ruth Carnall has told BBC London's Karl Mercer the changes are getting in the way of better services.
Dame Ruth, who leaves her post on Friday after six years, also revealed she had never met or spoken to the Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
