Assange £3.3m police cost an 'utter waste of money'

The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, has spent almost a year living in the Ecuadorean Embassy in Knightsbridge.

Scotland Yard has revealed that up until March it had cost London's police service £3.3m.

Is it a "complete and utter waste of money" as one member of the public claimed?
