Festival of Neighbourhood: Southbank celebrates community
The Southbank Centre in London is celebrating the idea of local community with a summer-long event called the Festival of Neighbourhood, external.
The area along the River Thames has been transformed with attractions including allotments, a local beach, street parties and family games on the village green.
The event will also include the creation of Beanotown to mark 75 years of The Beano comic.
BBC London's Emma North spoke to Shan McLelland, designer at the Southbank Centre, fashion designer Wayne Hemingway and the centre's artistic director Jude Kelly .
