Plans to transform Oxford Street with branded shops

Plans to transform part of Oxford Street as a result of London's Crossrail train project have been proposed.

More than 200,000 sq ft of retail space running from Tottenham Court Road to Poland Street could be redeveloped.

Retail agent David Kenningham said there were four sites which could be developed, however, Stuart Emmerson, from the Federation of Small Businesses, said it was important smaller shops were not forced out.
