London cancer care 'worst in country'

Cancer patients in London receive some of the worst care in the country, according to patient surveys.

Nine NHS trusts in the capital came bottom of a nationwide table based on feedback from cancer patients.

Carol Fenton of Macmillan Cancer Support says one patient received a letter to say they were in the last weeks of their life.

Chris Rogers spoke about the findings to Pamela Wilson, a cancer patient, Kate Williams, a clinical nurse specialist at Queen's Hospital, and Prof Kathy Pritchard-Jones, the chief medical officer at London Cancer.
