London workers 'exploited' over minimum wage, report says

Londoners are being let down by employers flouting the national minimum wage, a report has suggested.

In eight London boroughs, at least 5% of workers earn at or below the minimum wage, leaving one in 20 workers at risk of exploitation, the report from Centre for London and Trust for London said.

Yet there has only ever been one prosecution for minimum wage non-compliance in the capital, it said.
