Dagenham primary school bans sugary drinks

A primary school in Dagenham has banned children from bringing in sugary drinks as part of a health drive.

Some parents have criticised Valance Primary School after dinner ladies confiscated fruit drinks from pupils and served water instead.

The school was unavailable for comment, but in a letter to parents they said they had always promoted and encouraged healthy lifestyles.
