New Thameslink trains unveiled

The government has unveiled a new Thameslink train which it hopes will ease overcrowding on one of the country's busiest commuter routes.

The electric Class-700 trains with larger carriages will carry hundreds of thousands of passengers across the north-south route through central London from 2016.

BBC London's Transport Correspondent, Tom Edwards spoke to commuters, Rail minister Stephen Hammond and David Statham from First Capital Connect.
