Landlords warned about sublet contracts

Landlords are being warned about contracts from letting agents - where the agents themselves become the "tenant" - which allows them to sub-let the property to others.

The practice is not illegal, but it can mean that when landlords rent out a home, they do not actually know who, and how many people, will be living there.

BBC London reporter Charlotte Franks spoke to landlord Maggie Khan and Paul Shamplina, a company that specialises in tenant eviction.
