London man's donor sister refused entry into UK

A plumber from north London who is suffering kidney failure has had his hopes for a transplant dashed after his sister, who is a perfect donor match, was refused entry to the UK.

Oliver Cameron, from Stoke Newington, has to undergo dialysis three times a day but has now been told he will have to wait up to three years before a suitable donor is found.

Mr Cameron's sister Keisha Rushton had her request to travel to the UK for the operation refused by the British High Commission on the grounds that she may not return to Jamaica after the operation.
