Tube strike 'solidly supported', says union boss
The 48-hour strike held by London tube workers is "solidly supported", the acting union leader Mike Cash has said.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union have walked out over plans to close all ticket offices at a cost of 960 jobs.
Mr Cash, acting general secretary of the RMT, accused London Underground of backtracking on an earlier deal to review its plan to close ticket offices.
But the managing director of London Underground, Mike Brown, told the Today programme that they are "in the midst" of doing a full station by station review starting with the Piccadilly Line.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 29 April.
